Globally promoted FiberMax®
Bayer CropScience has developed the Certified FiberMax® Cotton™ program to help increase demand worldwide for the FiberMax cotton you grow. Through domestic and overseas promotions, Bayer CropScience has invested in programs that reinforce the value of your cotton to spinning mills and textile manufacturers. Through certification, the profit potential of your crop is enhanced.
- Bayer CropScience is partnering with three merchants to provide value for Certified FiberMax at the grower level. Bayer CropScience has chosen to partner with three merchants designated as Certified FiberMax Cotton merchants — Allenberg Cotton Company, CropMark Direct and Queensland Cotton. These merchants have agreed to market FiberMax as a premium fiber with the intention of returning a reasonable portion of any premium to their growers, clearly identified as a Certified FiberMax premium. These partnerships will provide value for Certified FiberMax cotton at the grower level and improve the delivery of Certified FiberMax cotton to mills as part of a reliable supply chain. Bayer CropScience will work with these merchants to identify mills that prefer to run Certified FiberMax cotton and are willing to pay a premium for it.
- Bayer CropScience is actively working to create demand for Certified FiberMax cotton at the retail level. Bayer CropScience has partnered with a designer and textile industry consultant to create retail demand for Certified FiberMax Cotton. A clothing line made of 100% Certified FiberMax Cotton has been developed and was featured at a January 2008 fashion show in New York. Samples are being shown to various retailers and positioned as a source of high-quality cotton for various garments.
